"I feel so fortunate to work with such wonderful clients — combining trust and hard work with connection and humor, helping them navigate the bumps and swerves, valleys and hills that life sends us all."
A calling answered.
My work feels like a calling. As Greg Levoy writes in Callings, people who feel called to certain work often fight it at first — "I can't do that. It's too hard." That is exactly how I felt. Over the next few years, however, events in my life shifted, and I came to realize that this work was — and is — exactly what I was meant to do.
Once it became clear to me that this was the work I was meant to do and I followed that pull, doors opened as if by magic. Greg Levoy says that happens with callings too. At times there were challenges that tested and renewed my commitment to keep moving forward.
I have never regretted following this calling. The opposite is true: I feel so lucky to work with my wonderful clients — combining trust and hard work with connection and humor, helping them navigate the bumps and swerves, valleys and hills that life sends us all.
I love being able to walk with my clients through whatever issues they may face — and to be the therapist they return to when life presents another challenge. After doing one chapter of counseling, clients often come back, and regardless of what brings them to my door or my computer screen, I am always delighted to see them. I aim to be what the trusted family doctor used to be — the person who knows the formative, and yes, even the funny, parts of your story, and helps you write yourself beautiful and fulfilling new chapters.

How we work together.
My approach is rooted in building a deeply trusting relationship with my clients. I utilize a strengths-based, relational framework — focused on helping individuals navigate life transitions, narcissistic relationship recovery, divorce and family of origin issues.
Together, we notice your internal beliefs and emotions, and how they shape the narrative of what is happening in your life. We work to weave together a new story — one of strength, healing, and resilience.
My approach is compassionate and collaborative, helping clients build resilience and develop strategies to thrive during difficult times. Whether you are experiencing a significant life change, relationship difficulties, or other personal challenges, my goal is to be a supportive and steady presence.
I believe that while we cannot always control our circumstances, we can change how we respond to them — while we heal and chart a path forward.
Identifying and reframing unhelpful thought patterns to create lasting change in how you feel and respond.
Using your core values as a compass — finding ways to navigate life that reflect who you are at your deepest level.
Shifting stories of struggle and hardship into stories of strength, healing, and resilience — on your terms.
Each client's experience is tailored uniquely to the stressors and challenges they are facing. It is normal to feel worried and vulnerable at first, and sometimes tired after sessions — that is a sign you are doing real work. Like many meaningful relationships, it is okay to take the time to get comfortable.
After a few sessions, clients tend to feel some relief from the primary challenge that brought them to therapy — a sense of feeling calmer, understood, and empowered. Many clients also find humor and lightness in our time together, experiencing a therapeutic connection which has space for both the serious and the joyful.
The person behind
the practice.
In my personal life, I live in New Hampshire with my family, where I am mom to a preteen girl and an adorable but incorrigible cocker spaniel. When I am not sitting with clients, I am writing, cooking, singing bad karaoke, and hanging out with the people I love.
While I love New England, my every vacation involves a beach — hanging out with the beach roses and palm trees, and listening to the sounds of the ocean.
"Still, I search the constellations for the tiny grains of sand, where the sand of the ocean meets the salty piece of land."
